The John A.
Kennedy Founder's Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic
achievement and financial need to a deserving full time Fire Science
student.
To be eligible the
applicant must be a member in good standing of the National Association of
Fire Investigators or the immediate family of a member in good standing with
the NAFI; or the applicant must be recommended and sponsored by a member in
good standing with the NAFI.
Applicants must be enrolled
or planning to enroll in courses in the fire sciences including: fire
investigation, fire protection engineering, fire protection engineering
technology and related subjects, during the next scheduled semester of a two
or four year accredited college or university. These courses must be taken
in addition to other required subjects.
The Scholarship Committee
with the approval of the Board of Directors will determine number and amount
of the awards given.
Completed applications
should be mailed to the Scholarship Committee of the National Association of
Fire Investigators at 857 Tallevast Road, Sarasota FL 34243.
Applications must be
postmarked by April 1 each year for Fall Semester Awards and by November 1
each year for Spring Semester Awards
